GOVERNMENT –£118,000 of taxpayer’s money spent on strip club survey

kent_logoIn a government funded year-long survey conducted by the University of Kent’s School of Social Policy, and funded by the taxpayer through the Economic and Social Research Council, conducted an online survey of nearly 1000 people in Maidstone, Brighton, Newcastle, and about the location of strip clubs.

Not surprisingly, the £118,000 survey concluded that most people do not want strip clubs near schools or religious buildings, and that only 1 in 10 people thought strip and lap-dancing clubs should be banned.

Paul Alcock, chairman of Maidstone Town Centre Management, said: ‘This survey is a total waste of money because they are actually telling us the flaming obvious.”

So – another £118,000 of taxpayers down the drain and into private pockets – what a waste.
